I traveled to Salt Lake City yesterday. So excited to be here. And a funny thing happens whenever I travel, I feel ready for new beginnings. Maybe it has something to do with the experience that flying brings ~ the sense of freedom, limitless possibility and the opportunity to literally see the world from a new perspective.
Also, after writing my post last week and reading through all of your thoughtful comments, I came to a new conclusion. I am embracing it all.
I think some of the stress and overwhelm comes from the resistance that comes from thinking that I have to focus on more than just one facet of me. A creative entrepreneur filled with so many ideas, passions, a genuine love for life {on most days} that's who I am. And when I embrace this, that is when my life flows with ease.
Then also, this week Sean's sister Maura sent me an email with this quote that I think sums it up perfectly.
"A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between her work and her play; her labor and her love; her mind and her body; her education and her recreation. She hardly knows which is which. She simply pursues her vision of excellence through whatever she is doing and leaves others to determine whether she is working or playing. To her she always appears to be doing both."
Have a wonderful week everyone. I will be speaking, and whooping it up at Alt over the next few days, so I'll see you on the other side, or of course you can follow along on my adventures over at twitter.
Maybe that's it ~ we are all just learning how to master the art of living
