Finally painted! The inspiration I've taken in over the last few weeks has been piling up, and I haven't even started visiting the art museums yet...
This first painting is inspired by French fashion. Parisians really do make an effort to have style. Completely inspiring to see so much personal style, and it also makes me want to seriously step up my fashion game. However I'm not sure I know how they can handle walking everywhere in this city in such fashionable shoes, i.e. high heels? Everyone seems to have great shoes and many, not all, have sizeable heels on them. The same heels we hear coming up behind us on the sidewalks, when we're walking too slow. clip clop, clip clop {sorry pedestrians who are in a hurry}
So, I put some of my characters in heels, scarves, and bursts of color, although it seems a big part of the style here is wearing neutrals, good strong classic neutrals, with just a touch of color.
My big plan is to do 15 or so of these tiny paintings from Paris. I've got to say painting accompanied by good music and a glass of French red wine in our tiny Paris apartment, life doesn't get much sweeter.
Today holds new explorations! and maybe new videos :)
Have a happy day and thanks for following along with our adventure ~ xo
