Hours into sorting and re-sizing photos, I may have been a little overzealous to try to squeeze one more blog post into today. Plus I don't want to image, sensory, overload you already ;)
This is a glimpse into our lovely three day visit to England somewhat in order of the events, shot with both the Iphone and my Nikon.
1. forsythia blooming. loving that gorgeous YELLOW
2. window boxes at our hotel in Haslemere
3. doors to British "toilets" in train stations seem to be painted the prettiest colors
4. Sean at our new favorite Haslemere restaurant Pizza Francesca
5. This pizza place not only had the BEST pizza, but it also offered the BEST EVER "puddings" one of which was this toffee, banana cream pie. Expressions I love from England "puddings" = desserts, and "hen party" = bachelorette party.
6. Cafe in beautiful Bath where I took the train to visit Susannah
7. Bath window shopping
8. More bath window shopping and picture taking
9. Sus and her favorite polaroid camera
10. a whole lot of polaroid shots to get just 1 ~ which by the way, my new "about photo" was shot by Susannah in Bath
11. Susannah shooting that very cool vintage British car across the street
12. "breakfast heaven" as Susannah called it ~ Nutella toast with bananas
13. Susannah's flowers in her flat
14. the cutest, most colorful characters that her sister Abby knitted. I SO want to paint them!
15. the "magic" tree in Bath ~ some of the most beautiful blossoms you've ever seen ~they are not a pink, pink, but a light whispy, soft, pink ~ most people don't notice the difference, but oh there is a difference between pink blossoms!~ set against Susannah's apartment building
16. waiting at the train station. After taking 8 trains, and 2 buses in England, in two day, I like to consider myself a "near expert" in public transit there. Actually England makes it s easy for you to travel in their country. Oh, how I wish our country had trains like that, especially in my city of Los Angeles.
Up next: Paris if not today, then tomorrow
