And this series and an interesting week has come to a close. I'm often torn as to whether to add comments to the paintings I post, as sometimes I like the painting to simply speak for itself. But, today I have a few things to say. I am part of the "daily painters" blog and this week there has been quite a bit of discussion as to what defines a "daily painter". Well the term certainly is defined by artists who paint every day, and then to take it a step further it includes a group of artist's who paint and post their work online for sale every day. The beauty of this as a viewer, a blog visitor, is a special insider glimpse into the studio of each artist. You are in touch with what each artist is experiencing daily. You can watch their process, as they evolve and join them on the journey of daily creation, maybe to inspire your own creativity or interest and inspire you as a buyer. This week I chose to do a series that I will call the "magazine series". Each painting, an expression of my experiences every day this week, once complete received a clip from a magazine article, then attached to the painting. This was incredibly fun, because my "rule" was to randomly open the magazine and see what words on that page fit with painting. It worked every time! As a "daily painter" in both definitions stated above, I hope you are enjoying the art and this blog - a glimpse into my world as an artist who loves to paint and a person continually finding their way :)
