I received my first set of postcards from my new favorite printers, Overnight Prints. And you should know, that they are gifties for you! All orders from the Etsy Shop and my website are accompanied by a new postcard. This week's orders already have them included. I hope you enjoy them and as always many, many thanks for all your support of my creations.
5 x 5 in.
Meet Clyde. (who made his first appearance as a clay character here. And, in honor of Holly and Rachel's posts in celebration of orange: My first polar bear on an orange background, one of my favorite colors to paint with, decorate with and wear for that matter. (click here to buy original)
I also want to add one more secret that I forgot to mention in the podcast. If all else fails take a nap, and get a good night sleep. Somehow rest always manages to comfort me and shed new light on a situation.

Little Lewis will be in the Etsy Shop today at 10:15 am pacific time....if I can part with him, that is :)
*Edit* today @ 10:50 Lewis is sold and on his way to his new home. (thank you!!) More characters coming in a couple of weeks.
I had a special request for a small 5 x 5 in print of Lewis. I happen to have one extra one, shown in the photo here. I listed it here in the shop! (perfect size for a square IKEA Ribba frame)
More inspiration, my newest Target addition, a strawberry filled tablecloth.
I notice that everyone is responding to turquoise these days. Myself included. And I am consistently delighted by the combination of turquoise and red. The way the red pops on the turquoise backgrounds. You can see why this combination shows up in my paintings so frequently, especially the orange and turquoise combo.
"the loungers" Lulu and Riley (taken today ~ they've got the right idea for summer days~Lulu has her own lounger and Riley has chosen to sit on ours :))
Note to self: Getting a good night sleep is key in the improvement of productiveness and the prevention of grouchiness. I was fortunate to get 10+ hours of sleep last night and I've since had a wonderful day today. Yup, as much as I'm a night owl...getting enough sleep seems to make a difference. I had a very productive Wednesday (as you can see by my flurry of blog posts), so tomorrow will be exciting for you! A new clay character...I'm giving you a hint that it might be a certain lion...and a new podcast for you too. Nighty, night!
With all the clay sculpting going on around here, Sean was inspired. As a gift for his sister Jennifer's birthday, he hand sculpted her beloved basset hound, Elvis. This is his FIRST time sculpting clay. Yes, I think he's brilliant! Elvis, (she was a girl dog by the way) turned out so wonderful, I had to share her with you.
